Started over 30 years ago at St. Lawrence Haven on Rich Street in response to a single request for dinner on Christmas, Bethlehem on Broad Street has grown and through its three events, serves several thousand guests each year.
BOBS is a combined effort of volunteers from churches of many different denominations, different faiths and organizations on and off Broad Street. It's been called the most ecumenical event of the year in Franklin County.
In all, more than 20 churches pitch in with money and volunteers for the service, which provides food, clothes and a warm Christmas dinner to more than 2,000 people through the three-day event.
Here's a video made in 2013, describing the interesting history of Bethlehem on Broad Street since it's beginnings in the 80s.
